Street Fighter Alpha 3 Review

---SPOILER WARNING---

So today were going to change things up a bit and look at a video game. For those of you who don't know what Street Fighter is, Street Fighter is a Fighting Game Series released by Capcom. The first game was released in 1987 to good reception but the quality of the game has gone down over the years. Where the series really took off was it's sequel Street Fighter 2 which came out in 1991. It is still regarded as one of the best Fighting Games out there.

But today I'm going to look at my first Street Fighter game and to this day my favorite, Street Fighter Alpha 3. Street Fighter Alpha 3 was released in 1998, and is third in the Alpha series which takes place between Street Fighter 1 and 2. There are various versions of the game but the one I'm looking at is the version you unlock in the Street Fighter Alpha Anthology. Which has all the characters that were added to the Home Versions of the game.

Since this is a fighting game there isn't really much of a story aside from a short character description in the beginning, some dialogue before you fight your rival, and an ending cutscene. So I tryed to look one up but I couldn't find a concrete storyline for the game. So I think it's safe to assume M.Bison is doing something evil, and we got to go kick his ass. Other then that the story doesn't really matter.

The gameplay is good, It's fast, and doesn't drag. You can chose your fighting style which means you can have a fighting style that fits you, and you have a lot of characters to chose from. The graphics are great, and the backgrounds look amazing. The AI can be a bit of an asshole at times but other then that I don't have a real problem with the game. There are various modes such as Arcade, Versus, Survival, Training, and Decisive Battle. Decisive Battle is really interesting since you fight 6 characters but there really easy since you have two characters which means it's essentially Two against One. Overall it's a fun game and I recommend it to Fighting game fans.

Rating: 4/5
